The Steps of Time / 2022
Time passes fairly. It's undeniably the same amount of time passing, but why does it feel like it accumulates?
While each hour of the 24 hours is fair, the bottommost hours become the foundation supporting the hours above. Therefore, I feel the need to fill each moment with valuable things, giving my best.
Suddenly, there are moments when I feel grateful to my past self. For instance, thanks to the past me who bought spare film camera batteries, the future Shin Danbi used them in crucial moments. Or, because of the childhood experiments with printing failures, creating an art book becomes smoother, anticipating and overcoming failures.
Small moments accumulate. The drawer-like time that can hold anything becomes the staircase I can step on and ascend.
