Cheong Myeong Tea / 2019

A performance art piece utilizing cherry blossoms as the primary material.

In the fifth of the 24 solar terms, known as "Cheongmyeong," cherry blossoms bloom. Shin Danbi wanted to capture the spring of 2019 in Goheung, Jeollanam-do, where she had stayed. She picked and dried cherry blossoms, creating a "Cherry Blossom Tea." Packing it in a vacuum bottle, she sent it to a friend who would understand the scent of that season, that spring.
